- Always keep your flowers in clean water
- Change the water in one or two days
- Cut the stems diagonally. this increases the surface area for absorption of water.
- Remove the leaves on the stems. leave only the once close to the flower.
- The leaves should not be immersed in water this helps to reduce rotting.
- Always add the flower food after changing the water.
Things not to do
- Don’t leave your flowers out of the water for long
- Don’t sun dry the flowers unless you want them dead
- Don’t sock your flowers in soapy water
- Don’t sock your flowers in colored water unless you want them to turn to that color
